Expanding the Rental Service of 16mm Films! Wider Selection of Talkie Films Now Available!! Matsuda Film Productions is proud to announce that we have expanded our rental service of 16mm films in cooperation with our affiliate company, Digital Meme. As we will be managing the films of Nitto Film, a well-established film company specializing in 16mm films, we now have a wider selection of fascinating talkie films from the 1950s to the 1980s! We will rent out films for screenings at various events such as film classes, school festivals, events by organizations for children and/or the elderly, neighborhood association events, training sessions of corporations and/or organizations. As we also rent out film projectors, please feel free to contact us, especially those members of film-related organizations and those planning to host film festivals to promote your hometown. The rental service of katsuben talkie films (silent films with katsuben performance and music accompaniment) from the Matsuda Film Library and screenings of katsudo daishashin with benshi performance are also still available.

50th Year Since the Passing of Mizoguchi Kenji This year marks the 50th year since the passing of the
film director Mizoguchi Kenji, who garners as much acclaim as Ozu Yasujiro
and Kurosawa Akira. (He passed away on 24 August 1956.) Starting this
summer, related organizations are planning to host large-scale screening
events across Japan to revisit and once again appreciate Mizoguchi films.
The Friends of Silent Film Association too plans to feature his works
at the 577th screening scheduled for 28 August (Mon). (Please refer
to "Upcoming Screenings" below for more details.) Furthermore, we are now offering a special
package plan for screening purposes the rental of three outstanding
works (katsuben talkie version) from the silent film period at a package
plan price.

Association is looking for people to place advertisements its "Katsukichi"
newsletter and "Classic Film News" monthly
periodical.
We ask that you submit a layout paper of the advertisement.
However, we also provide service to create the layout paper for you
with the actual expenses borne by you.
Katsudo Daishashin of Matsuda Film Productions Also Used in Company History DVD Videos! Increasing number of companies welcoming their 100th anniversary
since their establishment, such as Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., are using the
file footage provided by Matsuda Film Productions in the recording introducing
their company history. Please visit the following URL for more information
on the Footage. Purchased an Over a Century Old Motion Picture Projector! Matsuda Film Products purchased an over a century old
motion picture projector, manufactured by Edison MFG Co. around 1898.
It is available for rental for exhibitions and other events.
